Positives: Mizuna is a classy joint.

How does one judge a great cocktail? Well, if it comes with a cherry it better be a Luxardo cherry, imported from Italy, or else the rest of the drink is ruined. Mizuna is one of the few joints in metro Spokane that serves Luxardos with their cocktails, which is a high compliment to their customers.

Additionally, Mizuna has an extensive vegan menu for those that are into that sort of thing. The ambiance is classy, warm, and quiet. The bar is relaxed with top-shelf tending and expert mixology. In fact, the bar is a great place to sit with an open laptop and a Whiskey Sour as you wrap up a Friday afternoon (or any afternoon).

Mizuna is located downtown and its outdoor seating is a wonderful place to people watch during the warmer months.

Negatives: The food is a bit overpriced for the quality. Although the plates are flavorful and respectable, Mizuna’s entrees are not quite upper echelon within metro Spokane.

Recommendation: Quiet and classy, Mizuna is a perfect place to bring a date. With an extensive vegan menu and a respectable non-vegan menu, Mizuna won’t disappoint.
