Positives: Downtown Spokane’s Davenport Collection of hotels provide excellent wine and dining choices for business minded individuals, and the Safari Room is no exception. Located within the Davenport Tower, the Safari Room is themed with plentiful exotic taxidermy. The Safari Room’s menu satisfies with traditional fare, like Halibut and chips, and more creative options, such as the Crab Louise, which Louis Davenport invented himself back in Spokane’s formative years.
Negatives: The Safari Room targets the business traveler and business locals. Toward that end, they do well. Conversely, the Safari Room is not the best place to bring a date or entertain the family.
Recommendation: The Safari Room caters to the business community. Its kitschy theme and above average menu provide for appropriate ambiance as you ply business with your colleagues.
