Waverly Community Description
Waverly is a small farm town located in southern Spokane County. Located in the rolling hills of the northern Palouse, Waverly is quiet living off the beaten path. Given its population of about 110 souls and its isolated location, Waverly is one of the more obscure municipalities in the metro.
Unfortunately, contemporary market forces have sucked all commercial activity within Waverly to other locations, be them Spangle, or Tekoa, or Spokane. Thus, at the moment, there are no commercial activities within Waverly. As we sit, Waverly is simply a cluster of old homes that, collectively, are a legal municipal corporation. Waverly has a degree of character, but a functioning town it is not.
